A study by the job board Jobijoba examines the French cities where there are the most jobs.
The platform compared the results of a study conducted by the institute “Great Place To Work 2016” on preferred cities for French employees to 637,000 job vacancies advertised on its website. Between quality of life and opportunities to find a job, the offset is real.
The verdict is clear, if it is the South that attracts more French is indeed the North who recruits the most.
Paris tops the list of cities where there are the most opportunities, followed by Lyon, Toulouse, Nantes and Lille.
Of the ten favorite French cities, seven are located in the southern half of the Hexagon: Bordeaux, Toulouse, Montpellier, Aix-en-Provence, Lyon, Nice and Perpignan while six of the ten most promising cities in terms of jobs are located in the northern half: Paris, Nantes, Lille, Rennes, Strasbourg and Nanterre.
The best compromise? Toulouse.
The Pink City is at the podium of the favorite cities of the French and in the top three cities where hirings are most numerous in France with nearly 9,000 deals after Lyon (13755 offers) but (far) behind Paris (51401 offers).
